IMG wants good relationship with BCCI
May 17th, 2010 - 8:14 pm ICT by IANSMumbai, May 17 (IANS) The top brass of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Sunday quizzed officials of world renowned sports management company, International Management Group (IMG), on the details of financial dealings during suspended Indian Premier League (IPL) commissioner Lalit Modi’s tenure.
IMG, which had managed all the three seasons of the IPL, was represented by senior vice=president Andrew Wildblood and their legal experts Paul Manning and John Loffhagen.
A two-hour meeting was held at the Cricket Centre in the Wankhede Stadium. The BCCI was represented by president Shashank Manohar, secretary N.Srinivasan, vice-president Rajiv Shukla, interim IPL chairman Chirayu Amin and vice-chairman Niranjan Shah.
“We had a friendly and constructive meeting with the BCCI. We are hoping to have good relations with the BCCI,” Wildblood said.
The meeting was convened by the BCCI to get information on all financial matters relating to IPL, including the awarding of the global broadcast rights to Multi Screen Media-World Sports Group.
