Tiger Woods London, Apr 3 (ANI): Tiger Woods has opened up about his struggle to find the man he once was in his first print interview since his life fell apart in 2009.

Unlike the invincible golf athlete he once was, Woods seems vulnerable as he struggles to regain his old form.

“I’m not going to be doing this forever,” the Daily Mail quoted Woods as saying.

“I may be playing with friends, family, whatever,” he continues with a mournful note, “but at this level?”On the eve of this week’s Masters, the most prestigious tournament in American golf, Woods is clearly not back to the real tiger yet.

The Tiger, who announced his arrival at the top of the game with a stunning victory on the Augusta course in 1997, was the face of the future, a global, multicultural icon in the making. But this is the 2011 version, a 35-year-old divorced father of two, for whom the Masters is make-or-break.

“It is iconic,” he said.

He has won there four times, and he realizes that in order to do so again this time would represent a huge comeback.

“I am trying to become a better person. I’m trying to become a better person with my kids, a better father. That’s very important to me,” Woods said.

But he knows the end is coming.

“I’m not going to be doing this forever… but the foundation can last forever. That’s important.”

He hasn’t talked about finishing his career like this before, in a way that makes it sound almost imminent. How long does he think he’s got?

“I don’t know. I don’t know what that day is. But when that day comes, I will know,” he added. (ANI)
