ncw_u_moore01_300Nov 17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) On Tuesday sports lovers saw a very close game between Connecticut and Baylor as the former team won the game by 65-64 with Baylor achieving the second place. No doubt the game was exciting and fast as the two teams battled against each other for the winning title.

Players from the teams put up a brilliant performance not letting the audience for once drop their eyelids. The Connecticut Huskies (2-0) are eight wins short from matching the 88-game string by UCLA’s men’s team in the 1970s. This winning assurance came up almost at the final moment of the game as through out the entire game it was very much unpredictable to name who the winners would be. The Lady Bear Baylor had given no to their opponents which could have also ended in the defeat of the Huskies.

Maya Moore scored a 30 points giving a reason for the Connecticut fans to cheer aloud for their team. From the Baylor side 6 foot 8 star Brittney Griner came to give some tough competition to the huskies, whose performance was appreciated to a great extent. The Bears went on marching ahead, taking an eight-point lead with 6:42 left. Ultimately, it was Maya Moore who came as a rescue for her team. Bria Hartley from the Huskies was also seen taking a lead for some time. Connecticut coach Geno Auriemma said that he thought that his team had played well for a long time with the opponents making his girls a good chase, since Baylor is already a good team. Of course, when other players apart from Maya Moore started scoring, the situation turned out to be quite improbable. Over all, the match was good lending some great time for the viewers.
