Humanitarian BowlDec. 07, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Humanitarian Bowl will be creating history. For the first time in the last ten years, Idaho will be playing against the Bowling Green in the Humanitarian Bowl. The return is going to bring with it a certain amount of nostalgia, considering that the last bowl game that they had played had also been in the Humanitarian Bowl. The last time the University of Idaho Vandals had defeated the Southern Mississippi team by 42-35, back in 1998. So hopefully, the game at the Roady’s Humanitarian Bowl is going to prove second time lucky for the Vandals.

The Vandals were not scheduled to play against the Bowling Greens. Originally, it was scheduled that they would be pitching against the Mountain West team. Unfortunately for the Mountain West, they failed to secure a team that would qualify as the sixth bowling team. This is also the first time for the Bowling Green State University players to appear in a bowl game since 2007, when they had lost the GMAC Bowl against Tulsa.

The game between the University of Idaho Vandals and the Bowling Greens State University will be held on the Dec. 30. The game will be telecast on national television. The Vandals were admittedly very happy to be playing the match at the Roady’s Humanitarian Bowl, mentioning that it is a great opportunity for the team to represent their conference in a community that already plays host to a huge number of their alumni. The executive director of Humanitarian Bowl, Kevin McDonald commented that it is good to have two highly talented and powerful teams playing in the venue.
