HT, NE Bangla champions in CSJC media football
December 4th, 2009 - 12:07 am ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Kolkata, Dec 3 (IANS) Hindustan Times and NE Bangla emerged champions in the print and audio-visual sections of the CSJC Media Football tournament here Thursday.
In the print media final, Hindustan Times defeated Sambad Pratidin 3-2 in a tiebreaker after both teams were locked goal-less in regulation time.
Hindustan Times’ Ramkrishna Samanta was adjudged man-of-the-match by former India forward Prasanta Chakraborty.
In the audio-visual category final, NE Bangla defeated R Plus 2-0 via tiebreaker. NE Bangla goalkeeper Binoy Mondal was declared man-of-the-match.
Mohammedan Sporting coach Shabbir Ali, the chief guest, handed over the prizes.
