Dallas, Dec.19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Houston Rockets player Carl Landry was injured during the Friday night match when his team clashed with the Dallas Mavericks in a match which was held at the American Airlines Center. However, despite Carl Landry’s injuries, Houston managed to register a much needed victory against the Mavericks by the score of 116-108.

The 26 year old Houston player was injured with few minutes remaining in the second quarter of the match, when he violently clashed with the Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki. The incident took place when the Mavericks’ player moved in the lane but did not manage to deliver the short jumper. The players collided when Carl Landry fouled his counterpart in the opponent team. The collision turned out to be more serious than how it actually looked as the Houston player lost multiple teeth after being hit really hard in the mouth by Dirk Nowitzki’s elbow. Following the clash, the player was immediately rushed to the emergency room where he received preliminary treatment. Reportedly, later Carl Landry was then taken to a nearby hospital to take care of his dental condition.

Meanwhile, Dirk Nowitzki who was also received injury in his elbow due to the collision was taken to the locker room where he received three stitches to cover up the cut in his elbow. As of now, both the teams are keeping their fingers crossed hoping that the players do not have to miss any upcoming matches due to the injuries sustained by them. At the same time, the fans are desperately hoping that both the player can be back in action as soon as possible.
