Hope IPL-broadcasters dispute will be resolved: Juhi Chawla
March 5th, 2010 - 6:09 pm ICT by IANSKolkata, March 5 (IANS) Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) co-owner Juhi Chawla Friday said the standoff between News Broadcasters Association (NBA) and Indian Premier League (IPL) would affect the coverage of the cash-rich league and hoped it would be resolved amicably.
“Like all the IPL franchisees, we also need coverage and this standoff will affect it. But we are a component of IPL and we will stand by whatever decision IPL takes. But I hope things will be resolved amicably,” she said at a press conference here.
The 34 channels under the NBA decided to boycott the IPL completely after a disagreement over feed sharing last month.
Chawla said she was hoping for luck to smile on her team to help them be a winner all the way.
“I will be present for all the matches of KKR here. We are proud of Dada (Sourav Ganguly). He has the captain’s luck and he is a fighting cricketer and hope he brings that dash to the team,” she said.
