Hockey World cup website launched

New Delhi, Jan 20 (IANS) The International Hockey Federation (FIH) and the organisers of Hero Honda FIH World Cup Wednesday launched the official website of the showcase event scheduled from Feb 28-March 13.
The website www.msnindia.com/worldcuphockey will have news, fixtures and results, points table, teams and profiles, a photo gallery, videos etc.

Apart from the tournament information, overseas fans can purchase tickets and book their holiday packages on the website.

Developed in partnership with MSN, the website has other interesting features like online games, World Cup merchandise, tourist information, and a fan zone.

A special zone has been created for domestic and international media to enable them to obtain all information pertaining to the forthcoming and previous World Cups including player, captain and coach interviews and statistics.

FIH Communications Manager Arjen Meijer said the website will help popularise the tournament.

“The FIH is extremely satisfied with the partnership with MSN and visitors will be amazed about the website. The number of sports fans visiting the Hero Honda FIH World Cup 2010 will only be bigger,” he sais.

    Hv checked all the Cafe Coffee Days and 24 by 7 stores but the tickets are not available.

    Can anyone tell from where exactly i can get the tickets?

    i think no onw knows where to get tickets, i am a big fan of hockey , but only 2 weeks to go , but no information yet?????
