The player displayed an amazing performance when his team New York Yankees clashed with the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday night at the Yankees Stadium. With his impressive performance, he has tied Yankees second basemen Bobby Richardson’s record of the most RBI’s in any World Series championship.

Hideki, who is fondly nicknamed as ‘Godzilla’ was in full control of the game that ensured that his team New York Yankees could clinch the World Series this time after a period of nine years. The game proved to be historic for the player as well as for his team, as the Yankees registered their 27th championship title with the win, by defeating the Phillies with the score 7-3. Joe Giradi, manager of Yankees also appreciated Hedeki’s performance and emphasized that it was the player significant role in the game that was instrumental in ensuring victory.

The game saw the 35 year old player fight like a one man army against the Phillies and he was also named the Most Valuable Player of the series. After the match, with the help of an interpreter Hideki expressed that he was delighted to win a championship of this stature- more importantly as he could contribute to the team’s victory. The player managed to deliver two home runs in the second innings and two run single in the third innings that at the end gave the Yankees their winning edge.
