‘Herbalife’ renews brand association with Saina Nehwal
December 28th, 2011 - 6:25 pm ICT by IANSHyderabad, Dec 28 (IANS) ‘Herbalife’, a global nutrition company, Wednesday announced renewal of its brand endorsement partnership with India’s badminton star Saina Nehwal.
The firm had started sponsoring Saina in 2009 and, since then, she has been part of its mission to spread awareness on healthy living.
Saina, who has been using Herbalife products, told reporters that she was grateful to the firm for continuing the support. “I have been using ‘Herbalife’ for a long time now, with the products having always helped me feel energetic and on the go,” said the world No.4.
Dronacharya Chakraborthy, ‘Herbalife’ incharge for south India, said the firm was also associated with cricketer Virat Kohli and boxing champion M.C. Mary Kom.
Internationally, ‘Herbalife’ sponsors football star Lionel Messi and football clubs LA Galaxy and FC Barcelona.
The New York Stock Exchange-listed ‘Herbalife’ is a global network marketing company that sells weight management, nutrition and personal care products intended to support a healthy lifestyle.
Its products are sold in 79 countries through a network of about 2.5 million independent distributors.
