Helio Castroneves Gets Fourth Pole At Indianapolis 500

However, when you have a strong mind and firm determination none can stop you from emerging out as the winner. This is exactly what drove Brazilian automobile driver Helio Castroneves to victory at the Indianapolis 500. Reportedly, the Team Penske driver finished at the fourth pole position and brought his team their 16th one.

Helio Castroneves was competing in the Indianapolis 500 as a Team Penske defending champion who drove at an speed of 227.970 miles per hour which was his average mark in a total drive of four laps. Team Penske President Tim Cindric decided to send Helio Castroneves out there on the race track before one and all and with his winning, it does proves that it was a good move from the team. Helio Castroneves is now tied with A.J. Foyt and Rex Mays. Following his victory, the racer was flanked by the media to whom he said that when everything goes right on a day there is nothing that can stop you from winning. He said it wasn’t an easy win with the other contenders of the automobile race racing at a speed close to his own. Reportedly, Ed Carpenter was once driving at 228 which he says was an alarm for him.

Helio Castroneves said that sometimes you need to think of offence if you intend to score high. He was doing exactly the same thing while on the tracks. At the back of his mind, he kept lingering with the thought that no matter what the ill or the odds are, he is supposed to drive his vehicle at a speed which takes him to the finish line before the others.
