Atlanta, Jan 1 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The three-time Indy 500 winner and former “Dancing With the Stars” champion Helio Castroneves has become a father. His girlfriend, Adriana Henao, gave birth to the couple’s first child, Mikaella Castroneves, on Monday afternoon in Atlanta. Helio Castroneves’s baby girl measured just 19 inches and her weight is 7 pounds, 3 ounces. In a statement released by Penske Racing, Castroneves says his girlfriend and child were doing well and the baby already has him running around “like crazy.” His little daughter was born on 28th December 2009.

The Brazilian Helio Castroneves became the first foreigner to win the prestigious Indy three times in May. He was fourth in points in 2009 despite missing the season’s first race while fighting tax evasion charges. Subsequently Helio Castroneves was acquitted of all the charges except for one, and that was also later dropped.

Helio was born in Brazil and currently he is only 34 years old. In his short career, he has already accomplished a lot. In his kitty he has 14 Indy Car wins and 3 Indianapolis 500 wins too. He is in fact the reigning champion of the Indy 500 race and the only foreign-born three-peater.
