- Johannesburg, Nov 13(ANI): England batsman Kevin Pietersen has said he has completely recovered from his Achilles heel injury and is ready to reboot his career during his team’s tour of South Africa.
“It feels like a fresh start. I believe everything happens for a reason and I truly believe that what happened to me was for the good,” The Mirror quoted Pietersen, as saying.
“The emotions going through the injury were not too bad actually. I viewed it as an opportunity to have a well earned break,” he added.
The 29-year-old further said he was confident of recovering soon and had never let frustration take over his emotions.
“I didn’t want to look at it on the down-side and think that I might never play again. I just thought ‘I can do nothing about it, so there is no point moaning, complaining or pointing fingers at anybody’. Now I feel really refreshed and want to play cricket again,” he added.
