Nov.30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Al Groh, head coach of the football team of University of Virginia has been fired on Sunday after his team lost to rival Virginia Tech in the last game of the season, which was held at Charlottesville. The 65 year old coach was dismissed following the series of disappointing performances that his team was showcasing in the successive games of the season.
Reportedly, the team officials were not satisfied with the Groh’s inability to bring the team together and and make them play their best to ensure the team’s victory. Moreover, the team’s humiliating defeat against arch rivals acted as the final nail to the coffin and resulted in the dismissal of the veteran coach. Supposedly, the coach also held a press conference shortly after the termination to express his side of the story.
