‘Harder for Chelsea to win at Blackpool than it was to beat Man U’

London, Mar 7 (ANI): Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has said it will be harder for his players to win at Blackpool than it was to beat Manchester United last week.

The Blues boss feels his ailing team has stopped the decline with their Champions League win in Copenhagen and home victory against United.

Ancelotti warned: “It’s the wrong way to prepare by thinking it will be easier against Blackpool than Manchester. We have to be more in focus in this game than against United.”

“It’s easy to stay focused against United because there is so much attention on the game and so much pressure. There is less pressure against Blackpool so my aim is to maintain their motivation,” The Sun quoted Ancelotti, as saying.

“Blackpool do not have the same kind of money as Chelsea or United but that doesn’t mean a thing. The most important thing is team-work. If you don’t have that you can win nothing,” he said.

Ancelotti admits the mood at Chelsea has been lifted by the 2-1 win over United.

“A lot of times in the past I have said the atmosphere was good when it wasn’t really. So it was an important result. When you beat United it means you’re good enough to play against the strongest teams,” he said.

“Obviously it improves your confidence because if we’d not been able to win it could have been a real problem for the future. If some players think we can win the title it’s a good idea because this can give them good motivation. Man United can lose the title.” (ANI)
