Happy at Manchester City, Robinho plans 10-year stint with club
December 11th, 2009 - 6:29 pm ICT by ANILondon, Dec 11(ANI): Manchester City striker Robinho has reiterated that he is settled at Eastlands, claiming that he could stay with the club for the next 10 years.
Robinho has been repeatedly subjected to speculations that he will move back to Spain with Barcelona next year.
“I am very happy at Manchester City and I intend to continue playing here for a long time. My focus is with Manchester City. There will always be speculation, but I am very happy and so is my family. I hope to continue playing here,” The Mirror quoted Robinho, as saying.”I think I will stay five years, 10 years - I don’t know. I love it here and love the fans. I am enjoying playing English football. It is very beautiful. With every game I play, I feel more comfortable. I hope to continue playing football in England for a long time,” he added.
Last month it was reported that Barcelona are close to sealing a deal with Manchester City over Robinho.
Barcelona is planning to sign Robinho on a loan during the January transfer window for a six million pound “arrangement fee”, with a view to a permanent switch in the summer.
The 25-year-old has made 32 Premier League appearances and scored 14 goals for the Reds, but an ankle injury has kept him on the sidelines for major part of the season. (ANI)
