Jan 19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) In most of the cases it is the loss of some one that goes on to become to become somebody else’s gain. However, this time it seems to be a little different at the Baltimore Ravens camp. Greg Mattison, who used to be the defensive coordinator of the Ravens will no longer be giving tips to them, instead he will move on to be with the Michigan Wolverines. Replacing Greg Mattison’s position in the team will be the third year secondary coach Chuck Pagano.
It was not much long ago that news had it that the Michigan Wolverines were planning to discuss some deals with the former Baltimore Ravens’ defensive coordinator when they made up their mind to hire him for the team in the same position. Michigan Wolverines head coach Brady Hoke has finally decided that no one other than Greg Mattison could be the right person to fill in that position. Baltimore Ravens who seemed to have already an idea that Greg Mattison in all possibilities will be leaving the team to join hands with the Michigan Wolverines must have also made plans as to whom they should name as their next defensive coordinator.
On being asked about Greg Mattison’s achievement Ravens’ head coach John Harbaugh said that they were extremely happy for Greg Mattison and were equally excited about their new defense coordinator Chick Pagano. While the Raven’s are to make the official announcement which they intend to make in a press conference, their official website had already released the news. On the other hand the University of Michigan are expected to release an official statement today where they will confirm Greg Mattison’s hiring.
