Green Bay Packers give a 46-16 drubbing to the Raiders
December 12th, 2011 - 8:21 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattGreen Bay, Dec 12 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Green Bay Packers seem to be at a different level compared with their compatriots at this NFL season. The team has the perfect record after 13 games.
The team played against the Oakland Raiders last Sunday making the encounter look very easy. The Packers dismantled the Raiders with a humiliation 46-16 drubbing. MVP favorite Aaron Rodgers had another incredible game. With the win, the Packers are on the way to become the first ever franchise in the history of the NFL to go 19-0 in a season. The team looks poised to achieve that feat from the way that they are currently playing.
Cornerback Charles Woodson believes that the team cannot be stopped if they continue to have the same belief that they currently have in each other. After the game, the team knows that they are just a game away from securing the top seed going into the post season.
Woodson told reporters that the team knows what they need to know. He explained that, “We believe in each other, our coaches and in our plans and schemes. If we continue to play how we should play, we should be fine.”
The bad news for the Packers is that leading receiver Greg Jennings limped off the field during the game against the Raiders. The team will comment on the extent of injury after the MRI scan has been done.
The Packers next play Kansas City.
