- Tampa, Nov 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Green Bay Packers have put the injured Jason Spitz on reserve and instead filled the spot with wide receiver Biren Ealy according to a reliable source.
Jason Spitz has been suffering a back problem for around 21 days and coach Mike McCarthy said that ‘the club had a pretty good handle on the injury, but that Spitz was not making any progress and that team physician Pat McKenzie was concerned’. He said Spitz was having muscle spasms that were preventing him from playing on the field.
However the Green Bay Packers have not officially announced the replacement yet. There has been no word yet from Jason Spitz agent too, regarding this move.
Jason Spitz went to another doctor and got a second opinion on his injury and McCarthy said it confirmed the diagnosis that team McKenzie had come to. There was no word on whether the injury is disc-related or not.
The 6 foot and 2 inches, 212-pound Biren Ealy was signed last week when the Green Bay Packers elevated Allen from the practice squad to the active roster.
