692Pebble Beach, June 20, (THAINDIAN NEWS) They say the morning shows the day. If there is any amount of truth in the statement then a fine instance would be Graeme McDowell who started off his day at Pebble Beach like a winner. Undoubtedly, Graeme McDowell is looking for the first victory and his two birdies at the onset of the third round accounted for his lead on a course where wind dominates the roost of the play and only helps those who know how to help themselves.

On the other hand Tiger Woods scored four birdies accompanied by three bogeys which made him move to the third stand. Now that’s a good score considering the 61 degree and the fast blowing wind which are enough to alter the course of a regular game at Pebble Beach.

60 year old Tom Watson missed out the putts over the last few holes but at the end still managed to pull in a 1 under 70 to stay in the game. He told the media that the wind which dried the course blowing all throughout the afternoon, can be a serious issue for the players who take their shots in the later phase of the day.

The par-3 seventh hole played at 99 yards made many miss their mark. Many were of the opinion that it was a wrong thing to have watered the course at night. The winds blowing at such a high speed dried the course in the later half which turned out to be a problem for all who took shots in the later half of the day.
