Wellington, December 3 (ANI): The Swedish golf professional who introduced Tiger Woods to his wife Elin Nordegren has said he wants to apologise to her for the introduction.

Jesper Parnevik introduced Woods and Nordegren when she was working as a nanny for him and his wife Mia in 2001.Woods, who shares two kids with wife of five years Nordegren, recently apologised for “letting his family down” amid allegations of romancing two new women.

Parnevik, a five-time winner of the PGA tour, feels he may be partially responsible for letting Nordegren face the infidelity.

“I am very sad of course,” NZHerald News quoted Parnevik as telling the Golf Channel.

“I really feel sorry for Elin since me and my wife were at fault for hooking her up with him. I would probably need to apologise to her,” he added.

Parnevik also said: “We probably thought he was a better guy than he is then.

“It’s a private thing, of course, but when you are the guy he is, the world’s best athlete, you should think more before you do stuff and maybe not ‘Just do it,’ like Nike says.” (ANI)
