Charlotte, Nov 16 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Golden State Warriors have traded the unhappy Stephen Jackson on Monday and have sent him to Charlotte Bobcats in a four-player deal.
The Bobcats sent shooting guard Raja Bell and forward Vladimir Radmanovic to the Warriors in exchange for Jackson and guard Acie Law.
This is a good piece of news for Stephen Jackson because of his stormy and difficult relationship with Warriors coach Don Nelson, who had acknowledged last week that they had been trying to trade him.
“We are excited to add a player of Stephen’s caliber to our franchise,” Higgins said. “He is coming off arguably the best season of his career and we believe he will help our team on both ends of the floor with his scoring and defensive abilities. He also brings experience going deep into the playoffs, including winning an NBA championship with San Antonio. In addition, Acie Law is a talented, young player who provides us with added depth at point guard.”
The 6-foot-8 Stephen Jackson gives Charlotte Bobcats, which is the NBA’s lowest-scoring team, a huge shot in the arm. But with all this, he also brings his arrogance and his suspensions too. It’s a wait and watch game to see how this works out of the Bobcats.
