Glock reaches deal with new Manor F1 team
November 17th, 2009 - 6:49 pm ICT by IANSHamburg, Nov 17 (DPA) Germany’s Timo Glock has signed for the new Manor team which makes its Formula One debut next year, the team said Tuesday.
Glock, 27, has agreed to a two-year contract with the team with an option for a further year after racing for Toyota for the last two seasons.
Glock, who was a free agent after the Japanese team pulled out of F1 at the end of the season, will be the lead driver for the British-based team.
Glock, who had also been linked with a move to Renault, has yet to win a Grand Prix in 37 races but has twice finished second.
