London, December 13 (ANI): Gillette has decided to limit Tiger Woods’ marketing programmes for the company, following the exposure of his extra-marital affairs.
The Procter & Gamble razor company claimed that it wants to help the golfer protect his privacy.
“As Tiger takes a break from the public eye, we will support his desire for privacy by limiting his role in our marketing programmes,” the Telegraph quoted the company as saying in a statement.
Meanwhile, financial services firm Accenture has omitted Woods’ name from its website too.
Also, telephone giant AT&T is evaluating Woods’ contract.
The company said: “We support Tiger’s decision and our thoughts will be with him and his family. We are presently evaluating our ongoing relationship with him.”
However, sports goods company Nike has decided to stick with Woods.
A spokesman said: “Tiger has been part of Nike for more than a decade.
“He is the best golfer in the world and one of the greatest athletes of his era. We look forward to his return to golf. He and his family have Nike’s full support.”
Woods has decided to take an “indefinite break” from professional golf to focus on his private life at the moment. (ANI)
