Mohali, April 12 (IANS) After suffering a defeat in their opening Indian Premier League (IPL) match, Kings XI Punjab are looking forward to put up a good show against Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings in their second match here Wednesday.

“We are disappointed with the first match. There was poor performance in all the departments. But we are hopeful to bounce back in tomorrow’s game,” said captain Adam Gilchrist Tuesday, on the eve of Kings XI’s first home match at the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) Stadium here.

“Boys are taking some time in settling down. Everyone is excited to play in front of local fans. Our players would automatically get confidence when they play in front of their home crowd tomorrow,” said Gilchrist.

Kings XI had struggled against local boy Yuvraj Singh-led Pune Warriors in their first match and were beaten by seven wickets.

Gilchrist is confident that his boys will put up a great show against Super Kings.

“They are obviously confident after their first win. We are expecting a tough fight,” he said.
