London, Aug.24 (ANI): Former England star, Paul Gascoigne a.k.a. Gazza played football in the street with his eight-year-old nephew Cameron and had the neighbours giving him an ear bashing.

The 43-year-old decided to show off his ball skills to Cameron, who plays for Newcastle United schoolboys.

But when the ball clattered into a neighbour’s car, they rushed out to give him an ear bashing, the Daily Star reports.

Ironically, they were the same neighbours who used to tick off Gazza when he was a lad 30 years ago.

Cameron’s mum Lindsay, 36, who is Gazza’s sister, said: “I couldn’t stop laughing when I saw our Paul getting told off. He was getting it in the neck for kicking the ball off their windows 30 years ago. But this time he was too tall to hide behind their bins.”

Gazza has just emerged from rehab, vowing to stay off the booze after years of alcoholism and depression.

Lindsay added: “I’m just so pleased to see Paul well and having fun again. He’s back to his old self - even if maybe the neighbours aren’t too happy about it!” (ANI)
