Canterbury, Aug 26 (IANS) India’s opening batsman Gautam Gambhir is yet to recover from the concussion he suffered during the fourth and final cricket Test against England and is doubtful for the five-match ODI series.
Gambhir is still having problems with his vision and missed the second practice game against Kent here Friday. Gambhir also missed the first warm-up game that India won against Sussex by 11 runs.
Team sources said that Gambhir is trying to get fit for the third warm-up game against Leicestershire slated for Aug 29 to get back in form for the one-off Twenty20 and five one-day internationals.
But the Delhi batsmen is having a tough time fixing his sight. He attended a 45-minute net sessions at Hove but had problems in picking the balls thrown down by bowling coach Eric Simmons.
