Gators Player Tim Tebow Walks The Red Carpet With Fan Kelly Faughnan

Lake Buena Vista, Fla., Dec.11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Florida Gators quarterback Tim Tebow walked the red carpet at the ESPNU College Football Awards on Thursday night with Kelly Faughnan, an ardent fan of the Gators. The 20 year old girl is a resident of Virginia and is currently recuperating from brain tumor. Although, the Gators’ player did not manage to win any awards, he created quite a buzz when he walked into the awards ceremony with Kelly Faughnan.
According to certain reports, the player had met the young girl on the night prior to the award ceremony at the Walt Disney World Resort. Kelly Faughnan attended the function hoping that she would be able to meet the Gators quarterback. Not only did her hopes materialize, but it was a dream come true for the young fan when Tim Tebow decided to bring her along on Thursday’s awards night as his date.
Kelly Faughnan could not have asked for anything more as just before her surgery last year she had wished to attend the award function so that she could catch a glimpse of her favorite player. Meanwhile, it was just before Thanksgiving last year that the young girl realized that she was suffering from brain tumor. In order to recover from the condition, she had to undergo a surgery in the month of December and since then she had been recovering from the illness.
Tim Tebow later revealed that he was touched to know the story of the young girl and this led him to take the decision of inviting Kelly Faughnan as his date to the awards ceremony.
