Gandhi slams 92 in CK Nayudu Trophy

Chennai, Oct 21 (IANS) Tamil Nadu, thanks to a fine 92 by skipper M Kaushik Gandhi, piled up 253 for nine in their first innings against Jharkhand on the first day of their four-day game in the CK Nayudu Trophy Elite A Under-22 cricket tournament here Friday.

Gandhi provided a solid foundation and later R Karthik Aditya slammed an unbeaten 50 to hold the innings together even as wickets fell at the other end.

Left-arm spinner Asif Fahad was the main wicket-taker for Jharkhand with a haul of three for 36 while off-spinner Rahul Sharma chipped in with two for 68.
