Dec. 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Though there were no Bowl games scheduled for Monday night, excitement did not lack as there was a tough match between the Washington Redskins and New York Giants. The Monday night game was crucial for the New York Giants and they needed to win the match to qualify for the playoff matches. Lots of hope were bestowed on this match and they needed to give their best. It appeared that they were determined to take the lead from the early stage and won the match in spite of wide receiver, Hakeem Nicks’ injury.

Hakeem Nicks had exhibited some good game in the earlier matches and contributed to the team’s win till he had injured his hamstring. It was quite disappointing that Hakeem Nicks had to leave the field for his hamstring injury before the match ended. However, it did not make a great dent to the team as they had already taken a lead by then.

Though Hakeem Nicks left the field for his hamstring injury, the other players of the team did not let the Washington Redskins take the opportunity of this set back and score points. They have played well and the defense of the New York Giants did not allow the Washington Redskin offense to show much skills. Balanced offense and well-planned defense of the team helped them win the match against the Redskins and retain their chances of playing in the playoff games. According to the last reports, the final score of the match was tied to 45-12, announcing the New York Giants as the winner.
