Four English teams will reach Champions League quarterfinals: Ferguson

London, Feb 20 (ANI): Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson believes that all four English teams will reach the Champions League quarter-finals.
Encouraged by victories involving Tottenham and Arsenal last week, United will be searching for the same when they travel to Marseille on Wednesday night in the Champions League’s knockout round of 16.
Ferguson said: “Sending four clubs through to the quarter-finals would endorse the message that the Premier League is a great league.”
The United boss also insists that favourites Barcelona “are definitely not invincible”.
“There is a way to play against them. Arsenal has a chance of getting through,” the Daily Express quoted Ferguson, as saying.
“I also think Tottenham will win comfortably against AC Milan. Spurs have improved in the competition,” he added
Chelsea is favourites to overcome FC Copenhagen in their tie, although Ferguson has warned that United have their work cut out against Didier Deschamps’ Marseille side.
“They are a strong, powerful team backed by passionate support,” he said.
The biggest danger to English hopes, he believes, comes from Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid.
Ferguson said: “Jose is an exceptional manager. If anyone outside the Premier League is going to do well then it is Real Madrid.” (ANI)
