Former Lacrosse team captain Will Barrow dies Saturday in Charlottesville
November 24th, 2008 - 3:41 pm ICT by Bupha Ravirot ( Leave a comment )University of Virginia spokeswoman Carol Wood confirmed Sunday that Barrow, 23, died in his apartment, Saturday in Charlottesville. His cause of death could not be determined but Charlottesville City Police are currently trying investigating on his death, said the spokes woman.
Barrow was a captain for the UVa lacrosse team before being drafted earlier this year by the Chicago Machine of Major League Lacrosse.
According to the university Web site, Barrow, was also working towards an undergraduate degree at UVa.
One of Barrow’s greatest games was a 7-5 victory against Johns Hopkins University in which he scored a key goal while clamping down on defense, prompting lacrosse coach Dom Starsia to name him the team’s most valuable player.
