Football talent hunt launched

New Delhi, April 25 (IANS) A talent hunt targeting 3,000 young footballers in the age group of 12-15 years was launched across eight cities in India Friday. The Coca-Cola initiative will have 16 talented footballers selected for training programmes to be held at Rio De Janeiro, Brazil July 7-12. The camp, organised in cooperation with Brazilian Football Academy (BFA), will have 312 children from 26 countries,including India, a release said Friday.

As per the talent hunt initiative - Coca Football Champs - inter-school tournaments will be organised in the eight cities - Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Goa, Chennai, Bangalore and Kochi - and the winners from the cities would play against each other in the final to be held in Mumbai during the second week of May, a release said.
