Seattle, Dec 19 (THAINDIAN NEWS) As if playing football is not hard enough, a group of soccer players in Norway were given something to worry about. In an experiment that was carried on humans, players and officiating referees were given electric shocks in the project called “Elektrosjokkfotball Experiment.”

The event was hosted by the television network Channel TV2 in Norway and some of the players are football legends legends. They had dog collars around the legs and whenever there is an infringement, a shock was induced through the collar. The current was given on a scale of 1 to 6. A video of the incident has been released on the Internet.

There were five players from each side during the game. Each of the players who gets involved with any play considered dangerous was given the maximum shock from the commentary box. The lowest shock was given for tackles not considered dangerous.

Norwegian website thelocal.no named the “punisher.” The website revealed that “Presenters Johan Golden and Henrik Elvestad missed no opportunity to inflict varying levels of pain on the terrified players in a piece of television history that’s as shocking as it is unmissable.”

It is not clear if this experiment will ever become the norm in the future of football.
