kasenAug 28, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Following the footsteps of his father Aaron Williams, Kasen Williams, the all-state wide receiver of the Skyline High School on Friday announced that he has decided to join the University of Washington football team the next season. The announcement was made in front of a large crowd that gathered at the Skyline High’s Spartan Stadium on Friday. The announcement by one of the top wide receivers of Washington to join the Washington Huskies has undoubtedly made the team’s head coach Steve Sarkisian all the more happy as he has earlier this month received commitment from another top notch tight end player Austin Seferian-Jenkins.

Kasen Williams will be a worthy addition to the Washington Huskies as he has come up with some brilliant performance in the last season. The 6-foot-3 and 200 pound player last season had played a crucial role in leading his team to win its third consecutive state championship title. Kasen Williams had last season caught 74 passes for over 1,200 yards with a total of 20 touchdowns. He is well known for his speed as a wide receiver. All these will no doubt help the Washington Huskies in the coming season.

As for the reason behind choosing Washington Huskies over the some other top teams, Kasen Williams made it clear that he wanted to follow the footsteps of his father Aaron Williams who had played for the Washington Huskies from 1979 to 1982. The other four teams that were being considered by the player were University of California, Louisiana State University, Florida Gators, and University of Notre Dame. Aaron Williams who was standing by his son during the time of announcement, latter said to media sources that he always wanted his son to follow his father’s footsteps.
