Flintoff withdrawn from England’s Champions Trophy squad

London, Aug 24 (IANS) Star all-rounder Andrew Flintoff has been withdrawn from England’s Champions Trophy squad, the one-day international in Ireland and NatWest Series against Australia.
Flintoff will have an exploratory arthroscopic surgery on his injured right knee Tuesday.

“Jonathan Trott, who was last week named in England’s squad for the NatWest T20 Internationals against Australia, has been added to England’s squad for the one-day international against Ireland,” England and Wales Cricket Board said in a statement Monday.

“A decision on a replacement for Flintoff in the Champions Trophy squad will be announced in due course.”

Andrew Strauss (captain), James Anderson, Ravi Bopara, Tim Bresnan, Stuart Broad, Paul Collingwood, Joe Denly, Eoin Morgan, Matt Prior, Adil Rashid, Owais Shah, Ryan Sidebottom, Graeme Swann, Luke Wright.

England squad for one-day international vs. Ireland (in Belfast, August 27):

Paul Collingwood (captain), James Anderson, Ravi Bopara, Tim Bresnan, Stuart Broad, Paul Collingwood, Joe Denly, Eoin Morgan, Matt Prior, Adil Rashid, Owais Shah, Ryan Sidebottom, Graeme Swann, Jonathan Trott, Luke Wright.

England squad for NatWest Twenty20 Internationals vs. Australia (at Old Trafford August 30 and Tuesday September 1):
