Fire Alarm Breaks Out In FedEx Forum, Delayed Game

fedex forumMemphis, Jan 13, (THAINDIAN NEWS) People who went to watch the Memphis Grizzlies vs Los Angeles Clippers game last night experienced some inconvenience during the third quarter, as a fire alarm had broken in the FedEx Forum. As per the reports, the fire alarm was set off following the damage of a water main of the stadium and led to the evacuation of the entire place. It has been reported that the incident had taken place when less than a minute was left in the third quarter and delayed the game for more than half an hour.

According to reports, spectators were asked to leave the place using the stairs only. Not only the fans but also the coaches and the players had come out of the building to avoid any risk. Breaking of fire alarm during the game had created a panic. However, there was no damage as fire trucks had come to the place immediately. The players were allowed to enter the arena and start the game after a short interval. Till the latest report, there is no confirmation, whether fans were allowed to enter the FedEx Forum after the problem was resolved.

Once the situations were under control, the players of Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Clippers did not waste any more time and were back in action. They had left the field when the score was 89-77 and quickly added more points in the remaining minutes. The final result, tied at 104-102, reflected Memphis had clinched a close victory upon the Los Angeles players, who had shown good form in the previous games. Marc Gasol and Rudy Gay had exhibited a praiseworthy performance.
