London, Apr 9(ANI): England fast bowler Steven Finn is determined to reclaim his place in time for the Test series against India and Sri Lanka.

Finn was England’s leading wicket-taker after three Tests of the Ashes series, but was rested for the fourth match, and his replacement, Tim Bresnan did well and was retained for the final Test.

The 22-year-old now plans to use Middlesex as a springboard to thrust his name back into the selectors’ thinking.

“I have to fight to get my place back in the England team. I’m well aware of that and I relish the challenge - the need to win my place back will spur me on for Middlesex,” the Sun quoted Finn, as saying.

“I feel fit and strong and have enjoyed my time off. It’s given me the chance to go to the gym and work hard. I’ve been working on becoming better as there are lots of areas I can improve on and need to work on,” he added. (ANI)
