FIH expected to announce Indian TV rights deal
October 13th, 2011 - 11:33 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 13 (IANS) The International Hockey Federation (FIH) is expected to announce a new four-year broadcast deal in India for 2011-2014.
The federation has invited offers for its inventory of events, which include World Cups, Champions Trophy tournaments and the new World League which inaugurates in 2013.
“We expect to announce a groundbreaking deal as we have received some very good offers and we will shortly conclude one of them,” Steven Morris, FIH head of marketing and communications, said in a statement.
The deal begins with India’s participation in the Champions Challenge, which runs in Johannesburg from Nov 26-Dec 4.
