FIFA vice-president Warner quits
June 20th, 2011 - 9:55 pm ICT by IANSLondon, June 20 (IANS) FIFA vice-president Jack Warner has resigned, BBC reported Monday.
“As a consequence of Mr Warner’s resignation, all ethics committee procedures against him have been closed and the presumption of innocence is maintained,” the world football’s governing body said in a statement.
Warner was suspended pending a probe into bribery allegations. He and fellow FIFA member Mohamed Bin Hammam are alleged to have paid bribes of 600,000 pounds to Caribbean associations, BBC said.
