Ferguson warns Rooney against sexcapade repeat

London, Sep 13(ANI): Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson had reportedly opted to dump striker Wayne Rooney from the Premier League clash against Everton as a punishment designed to ram home his point: Never step out of line again.
During the post-match press conference, Ferguson insisted that he left Rooney out to save him from abuse by Everton fans.
However, it is believed that Ferguson has made it clear to Rooney that there must be no repeats.
“I don’t think you should put it all on the crowd. The manager there knows what he’s doing and I’m sure he did what he thought was right,” The Sun quoted David Moyes, Everton manager, as saying.
“Maybe he was just making sure everybody realizes if you play for United you have to conduct yourself in a certain manner and the football club doesn’t really care who you are,” he added.
The Everton clash was supposed to be Rooney’s first game in England since revelations about how he used 1,200 pounds-a-night prostitutes while his wife Coleen was pregnant with son Kai. (ANI)
