Ferguson has ‘no plans’ for retirement

London, Jan 3(ANI): Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has insisted that all thoughts of retirement are firmly off his agenda.
Having changed his mind on plans to retire at the end of the 2001-02 season, Ferguson has since claimed that he would not work beyond his 70th birthday.
However, with United now chasing a record 19th league title, the 69-year-old admits that he has no idea of when he might call time on his management career.
“I’m 69 now, but you say to yourself, what happens when you retire? What do you do? I said to my wife some time ago that we could always travel, but at our age, you can’t just jump on a plane,” the Telegraph quoted Ferguson, as saying.
“That’s why I have no plans. There are no plans for me to retire. I hope my health stays as it is so I can carry on. I made a mistake some years ago because I thought my 60th birthday was a good time to retire,” he added. (ANI)
