Alex Ferguson London, Nov 13 (ANI): Manchester United boss sir Alex Ferguson is finally ready to forgive and forget ace strike Wayne Rooney’s slur on the club and bring him back into action.

Ferguson has been impressed by reports of Rooney’s attitude to a training week in the United States.

Rooney flies back from America today, but Ferguson does not want him to go on England duty, The Sun reports.

Ferguson is ready to play him next Saturday at home to Wigan. The United boss sent Rooney to Dubai and then America in the wake of the player’s contract controversy when he questioned the ambition of the club and insisted he wanted to quit.

While Rooney did a U-turn and signed a new five-year contract, Ferguson and a number of senior players remained angry with him.

Ferguson’s assistant Mike Phelan said: “Wayne’s been doing really well. He has been training hard, working morning and afternoon.

“Our people who are looking after him out there have been really pleased with his attitude and his approach to everything. We think he will have improved immensely.” (ANI)
