London, Aug.1 (ANI): Sir Alex Ferguson has given his Manchester United team a target of 100 goals for the 2009-10 season to be declared successful for the club.
He has called on the midfield and the defence to start weighing in with their fair share to help fill the void left by Portuguese winger Cristiano Ronaldo.
Premier League champions United hit 99 goals in all competitions last season and Ronaldo hit 26 of those
“If we’re going to win the league again or do well in Europe, we need players to step up. You look to score about 100 goals in all competitions. We’ll aim for that again,” The Sun quoted Fergie, as saying. (ANI)
