Fergie furious after Man U blows the club’s 23-match unbeaten record

London, Nov 26 (ANI): Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson launched into another penalty rage after watching his players blow the club’s 23-match unbeaten home record in Europe.
Ferguson gambled by fielding a young line-up, but it backfired as Besiktas grabbed a shock win at Old Trafford.
“I was right to be agitated. If you can’t give penalty kicks like this and the one against CSKA, then the game is in trouble,” The Sun quoted him, as saying.
It was United’s first home defeat in the Champions League for four-and-a-half years.
Ferguson was frustrated with French referee Stephane Lannoy who rejected United’s appeals when sub Patrice Evra appeared to be pushed by Ibrahim Kas.
It was a similar story in their last European match against CSKA Moscow when Darren Fletcher was not given what looked a clear spot-kick.
Ferguson, who starts a two-match touchline ban at Portsmouth on Saturday for branding referee Alan Wiley unfit, added: “That’s two games in a row we’ve been denied a stonewall penalty in Europe.
“It’s not in the spirit of the game but what can you do? You just have to get on with it.”
“It was tough on us. We didn’t get the breaks. In the second half they went very defensive, stopped the game, played out time with players lying down. It’s very difficult for young players to understand that,” he said. (ANI)
