Roger Federer London, Aug 18 (ANI): British tennis ace Andy Murray, who beat record grand slam-winner Roger Federer in straight sets last weekend to win the Toronto Masters, says Federer has lost a little bit of his skills in the last few years and is showing signs that he is on the decline

Twenty-nine-year-old Federer has won 16 grand slam titles with the most recent of those being a straight-sets success over Murray at the Australian Open in January.

“He is always very tough to beat. It’s just that, because of how good he was in every tournament three or four years ago - and it’s very difficult to be that consistent throughout your whole career. It’s normal that he has lost a little bit the last few years,” The Guardian quoted Murray as saying.

A defeat at the hands of Murray has pushed the Swiss tennis star outside the top-two ranked players for the first time in seven years after he failed to reach the semi-finals at Wimbledon for the first time since 2002. (ANI)
