London, Aug.23 (ANI): British tennis star Andy Murray’s former coach Brad Gilbert believes the 23-year-old is totally relaxed for Flushing Meadows with his mother Judy at his side.

The Sun quoted Gilbert, as saying: “I think he seems quite happy having his mother on board. He is the most relaxed I’ve seen him and now when he looks over to his box he has nobody to be mad at. He can’t be mad at his mum!

“She taught him how to play and was his first coach, he does a lot of conferring with her. He seems happy with the situation he has and I don’t expect him to make changes any time soon,” he added.

Gilbert coached Murray for 16 months before they split in 2007. The fiery Scot does not stay with one coach for long as he has also worked with Pato Alvarez and Mark Petchey.

Mum Judy and Murray’s pal Dani Vallverdu travel with him at the moment - and Gilbert believes it will stay that way unless it goes wrong in New York. (ANI)
