Evan Longoria’s AK 47 stolen during a robbery

Port Charlotte, Mar 29 (THAINDIAN NEWS) There were some unusual items amongst the things stolen from Evan Longoria recently. Taking stock of what had been stolen revealed that an AK 47 rifle was among the missing things.

The revelation was made this morning by the sheriff’s department in Charlotte County. The break-in took place while the Tampa Bay players were busy on the field. It is believed that the thieves gained access to the spring training home by going through an unlocked window. About $56,000 worth of items were believed to have been stolen from the apartment when the incident happened.

The sheriff department has confirmed that the gun was in the possession of Longoria legally. When Longoria was contacted by the press, he revealed that the AK 47 was his “personal item”. The other players who were also robbed in the incident are David Price and Reid Brignac.

When the incident happened the Tampa Bay Rays players were taking part in an exhibition game on a park nearby.

25-year-old Longoria is a special player. He has been in all three American League All-Star team since he joined the Rays. He has also carved an image for himself as one of the most marketable players.
