eric1Apr 24, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Former Minnesota Gopher, Eric Decker has been picked up by the Denver Broncos in the NFL draft on Friday, in the third round of the draft. He was picked up as the 87th overall pick, and as he himself commented later, the fact that he had been chosen came as a major surprise for him. Not only because he was not expecting to be chosen by the Denver Broncos, but also because they were so far the most low profile team in the National Football League draft, with not much action from their side. The other players to have been picked by the Denver Broncos, besides Eric Decker, were Zane Beadles and J.D Walton.

Eric Decker was at his home when he got the news of being drafted by the Denver Broncos. He reported later on that he was watching the National Football League draft itself with his family, when the phone call came. Eric Decker said that even as he watched the second round pf the drafts unfold on television, he was pretty calm. However, as the drafts launched into its third round, he got struck by bad bouts of nervousness. It was only then that he got the call from the Denver Broncos.

Eric Decker was obviously elated at having been picked by the Denver Broncos. Later on, he commented that it was a place that he always wanted to go to, a team he always wanted to be part of. Having all that in mind, it was not surprising that the call from the team got him completely “psyched.”
