England middle-order bat Morgan has a fractured finger
February 6th, 2011 - 2:33 pm ICT by ANILondon, Feb.6 (ANI): England middle-order batsman Eoin Morgan’s World Cup spot is in doubt after he broke a finger.The one-day wizard has been ruled out of Sunday’s final ODI with Australia and is sweating on his place for the 50-over tournament.
According to The Sun, Morgan first noticed the problem in the fourth one-dayer in Adelaide and an X-ray has today confirmed a fracture.
England’s first World Cup game is against Holland on February 22.
It is the latest blow to Andrew Strauss’ plans after Graeme Swann, Tim Bresnan, Ajmal Shahzad and Paul Collingwood all left Australia early due to injury. (ANI)
